Biography

1884: Founded as the United States Indian Industrial Training School. 1887: Name changed to Haskell Institute. 1970: Haskell developed into a junior college and changed its name to Haskell Indian Junior College. 1993: The Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs, Ada Deer, approved the plan, and the institution was renamed as Haskell Indian Nations University.
