b. Mar. 7, 1838; d. Nov. 6, 1902. Born and raised in Canal Dover. He enlisted in the Eighh Ohio; owner & editor of the Iron Valley Reporter; postmater; Boyhood friend of Quantrill's; claimed to have bones of Quantrill to sell.

Parents: Robert K. Scott (1820 - 1858); Mary Jane McGregor Scott (1820 - 1903). Spouse: Agnes Brister Scott (1851 - 1942). Children: Walter B. Scott (1884 - 1972); Mildred Scott Alexander (1890 - 1973)
