Three diaries kept by Elizabeth Duncan in the mid 1860s, both while she lived in Lawrence, Kansas and while she traveled overland from Lawrence to San Jose, California in 1867. Typical entries may include discussion of the weather, Duncan's daily activities, information about her family and friends or acquaintances who came to visit or wrote, and her own spiritual and emotional states.
This autograph book was apparently assembled during the month of March, 1878. It includes the autographs of Miss Duncan's classmates in the public school of Lawrence, Kansas.
This collection contains tax deeds and receipts pertaining to Lucetta Stevens, apparently the sister of Myra, as well as correspondence between the sisters and other family members. Also contained in this collection are a number of family photographs, including individual and small group portraits.
