Overview Manuscript "Album" inscribed to "Milly Bushe from Papa June 1857." The Bushe family appears to have lived in Arnestown, County Wexford, Ireland. Contains poems in various hands, some initialed and dated by the contributors. Among them, several commemorative poems refer to the death of Milly's sister, Annie H. Bushe, in 1868. Diane Di Prima collection

The journal is the author's archives, presumably from when she was located in New York City: collection of carbons and drafts of letters, notes, journals, editorial work, etc. Includes much personal material. The two reel to reel tapes are recordings of Di Prima's poetry, and the "absurd" play was written in the round during the fall or winter of 1959 in pencil in several hands (bookseller indicates the play was by "Diane Di Prima, Freddie Herko, and James Waring").

Giuseppe de Lama bound book of annotated poems

Bound book of poems, annotated. Fair copy (holograph?) made apparently to present to the dedicatee, "Madame la Comtesse Blanche Uggeri de la Somaglia" (Somaglia, Bianca Uggeri Capece della, 1743-1822, of Piacenza). The volume includes social verses with semi-biographical notes on the Parisians who inspired them and their own poems. There are also some political allusions.

Guanetta Gordon literary manuscripts

The Guanetta Gordon Collection contains the work of a native Kansas poet and author, who was both that state's poet laureate and Arizona's Poet of the Year. The collection dates from 1953 to 1992 and is comprised of original manuscripts, worksheets, and drafts for the poems, articles, essays, and short stories written by Guanetta Gordon since 1953. The manuscripts in boxes 1-4 are arranged alphabetically by literary type.

Gwendolyn Brooks correspondence

Correspondence between Gwendolyn Brooks and Van Allen Bradley, literary editor of the Chicago Daily News, 1949-1967, and between Bradley and others about Brooks. In addition, there is an unsigned autobiographical sketch written by Brooks, clippings collected by her, and a photograph. The letters are primarily about book reviewing and her writing.

Hester Buell papers

Ian Hamilton Finlay poetry and correspondence

Ian Hamilton Finlay (1925-2006) was a poet and artist who lived most of his life in Edinburgh, Scotland. This collection dates from 1964 to 1967, when Finlay was involved in the concrete poetry movement. Included are drafts and final printed copies of Finlay’s works, extensive correspondence with art historian Stephen Bann and critic Mike Weaver, periodicals and photographs.

Jack E. Lorts collection of Larry Eigner correspondence and manuscripts

Collection of materials received by Jack E. Lorts from and concerning the poet Larry Eigner. Includes correspondence and poem typescripts from Eigner and two letters from poet Cid Corman. Lorts had undertaken a college paper on Larry Eigner and began corresponding with him as part of that project.

This collection of items by and about Honolulu, Hawaii poet Jane Comstock dates from 1938 to 1946. It consists of three Christmas cards sent from Jane Comstock and her husband; a Honolulu news clipping concerning Waikiki Garden (one of Comstock's books of verse); and a reprinted Honolulu news report of a radio broadcast of poetry readings by Comstock.
