The earliest material in this collection are papers and correspondence of Thomas Russell Smith (1910-1996) including accounts of his travels with his family around the world in 1925-1926 and to Europe in 1929. The bulk of the collection consists of research notes, photographs, drafts, papers and correspondence about the history of cartography. There are also some notes from his course on the history of cartography.

Thomas Zvi Wilson was a Kansas poet and artist whose work was published in many literary journals. The collection includes poems by Thomas Zvi Wilson as well as by Jeanie Wilson, his wife. Also included are early drafts, edits and critiques of Wilson's poetry, correspondence, article clippings, sketches and notes, and other materials related to the Wilsons' writings and to Thomas Wilson's volunteer efforts at the Kansas State Penitentiary.

Thurman Forrest Railsback legal papers

Thurman Forrest Railsback was an attorney in Kansas City, Kansas from 1905-1956. Railsback went on to serve as assistant attorney general and as acting judge in the Wyandotte County District Court. Overview Autograph book compiled in November and December 1923 in no. 2 Camp, Tintown, The Curragh, Ireland. The volume mostly consists of entries by Tipperary, Kilkenny and Laois prisoners, but also includes entries from prisoners removed from Cork, Kerry and Dublin. These individuals were imprisoned by the Irish Free State for fighting, or being suspected of fighting, on the Anti-Treaty side of the 1922-1923 Civil War. To the Queen; a poem

Overview

This is a copy by an unidentified copyist of a poem, "To the Queen", by Lord Alfred Tennyson. The paper and handwriting appear to date the writing to the nineteenth century but it is not in Tennyson's own hand. This poem was added as a dedicatory epilogue to the collected Idylls of the King in Strahan's library edition of Tennyson's works in 1872.

Todd family papers

Family papers (chiefly family correspondence) of Congregational minister John Todd (1818-1894), who was a founder of Tabor, Iowa, of its first Congregational Church, and of Iowa's Tabor College. The Todd home served as a station on the Underground Railroad from 1854 to 1856, and as an arsenal for abolitionist John Brown.

Tom Burns photographs

Overview

Tom Burns was a fish-monger on the Kaw for 60 years, retiring in December 1991. He published his memoirs, "60 Years on the Kaw" in 1994. The collection is comprised of 10 photographs and 2 videotapes, includes images of catches in 1946 and 1947 and Tyron Winchell's boat built in 1895, which Burns rebuilt in 1996. The videotape interviews are from 1990 and 1991 and cover net and ice fishing.

Tom L. Sherred papers

Grand Rapids, Michigan native Thomas L. Sherred (1915-1985) was a writer of science fiction. His papers for the period of 1966-1989 reflect his science fiction writing but primarily consist of correspondence with other authors, including Lloyd Biggle, Jr, Howard DeVore, and Virginia Kidd. It also includes working manuscripts for his novel Alien Island and manuscripts of short stories.
