Contains records, correspondence, and business information for Alexander E. Case and Levi Billings, who were partners in the Case and Billings Agency and the Cottonwood Valley Bank of Marion County, Kansas. Case and Billings had the largest real estate business in western Marion County in the latter half of the 19th century.

The letter to Capen in Bloomington, Illinois, informs him of land settlement, rates and loan conditions. On the back side is a printed map of the four corners of counties around St. Marys, showing railroads and wagon roads
