Overview These two letters from U.S. Marshall S. F. Neely, District of Kansas, are written to Leavenworth, Kansas attorney Edwin L. Carney, a son of second Governor of Kansas Thomas Carney. Neely's letters to Carney seek payment of costs billed to him for a Wyandotte County, Kansas citation issued in the case of the United States vs. The Black Bob Band of Shawnee Indians.
