Bourquin family collection

Overview The collection includes photographic prints and negatives by Jules Bourquin, as well as images from other photographers. Also in the collection are newspaper clippings, letters, photographs, etc. about the V.F.W. Drum and Bugle Corps that Jules Bourquin helped organize, as well as copies of business correspondence from Jules and his father Emile Bourquin for their jewelry business in Horton, Kansas.

Volume one contains newspaper articles on the James brothers, Frank and Jesse and volume two contains articles on survivors and reunions of the Raid on Lawrence

Most of the clippings are of, "This Kansas column," which was written by Baker. The dated articles are from the early 1940's. The collection also contains an early history of Larned State Hospital, Larned, Kansas.
