Overview Bishop Robert Mize (1907-2000) founded the Saint Francis Academy (then the St. Francis Boys Home) in 1945 in Ellsworth, Kansas. In 1960 he traveled to the Province of Southern Africa and was consecrated Bishop of Damaraland, where he served until 1970. From 1973 to 1976 he again lived in South Africa as a missionary to the Diocese of Botswana.
