Overview

This memoir of Perry Oliver Cook Nixon, written in 1907, details his Civil War experiences as a Union soldier in Company C of the 10th Illinois Volunteer Infantry, including the battles of Nashville and Atlanta, as well as Sherman's March to the Sea. Nixon also documents his childhood and his post-war experiences as a Labette County, Kansas settler. Loose items associated with the memoir are located at RH MS P646.
