Third Baron North, a poet, musician, and art patron. Son of John North (1551?-1597) a soldier and politician, who in 1581 married Dorothy (died 1618), daughter of Sir Valentine Dale. Grandson of of Roger North (1531-1600), Second Baron North. In November 1600 married Frances, daughter of Sir John Brocket[t?]. Father of Dudley North (1602-1677), Fourth Baron North.
