Biography

Sixth Baron North and 2nd Lord Grey, soldier. Son of Charles (1635-1690), Fifth Baron North and First Lord Grey of Rolleston and Katherine (died 1694), daughter of William, 1st Lord Grey of Wark[e?] who married in 1659. In 1705 married Maria Margaretha (1690-1762), daughter of Cornelis de Jonge van Ellemeet. They had no children. He was succeeded by Frances North, 3rd Baron Guilford and 1st Earl of Guilford (1752) and 7th Baron North. The title, Baron Grey de Rolleston, becomes extinct on William’s death.
