Grant D. Venerable was the first African American graduate of the California Institue of Technology in 1932. This collection includes records and photographs of cousins, aunts, and uncles of Grant D. Venerable and his wife Thelma (Scott) Venerable. Also included in this collection are articles relating to African Americans in higher education, including an article written by Venerable's son, Grant D. Venerable II.
