Overview The Grant-Bradbury Family Papers are those of Mary Amelia Grant, a professor of classical languages at the University of Kansas at Lawrence from 1921 to 1960. The collection contains many of the donor's personal papers, but is largely comprised of correspondence, diaries, legal documents, and photographs which document the lives of her parents and maternal grandparents of Topeka, Kansas, her father's Grant family ancestors of Livingston County, Michigan, and her mother's Bradbury ancestors...

In this collection of historian Jennifer Cain Bohrnstedt are a collector's edition U.S. Revenue stamp, a map of the north part of Topeka, Kansas, and photographs of the Topeka Cemetery gravestones of Mary Amelia Grant (1890-1987) and her cousin Dorothy Bradbury (1899-1979), and of Mary Grant's grandparents, William H. and Mary Bradbury.

Overview

Mary Grant was an associate professor of Latin and Greek at the University of Kansas. She joined the KU faculty in 1921 and retired in 1960, and inducted into the KU Women's Hall of Fame. Mary Grant's personal papers include poems, both published and unpublished, written by Grant herself, along with a few miscellaneous items. Also included is a cassette tape of the Service of Commemoration for Mary A. Grant.
