Overview Cecil E. "Teet" Carle (1899-1992) was born in 1899 in Emporia, Kansas. In high school, he served as the editor of the school's newspaper. Mr. Carle began his career as a cub reporter under legendary newspaperman William Allen White, and was a close friend to his son, William (Bill) Lindsay White.
