Biography

Hazel F. Anderson, an African American businesswoman in Kansas City, Kansas, owned and operated the Mercury Chair Rental Company with her husband Carey Anderson. A graduate of Sumner High School, she was active in the local Northeast Business Association and served as 1st Vice President of that group. Anderson was also involved in various other organizations such as the Geacé Club and the Kansas-Missouri Movie Makers, of which she was a founder.
