Cainie Steele (1899-1985) was a school teacher in the Baldwin, Kansas area. Steele's collection of Kansas history related newspaper clippings, including topics such as early Kansas towns, civil war, business, politics, agriculture, and pioneers, was used by her as a teaching reference.
