At the beginning of this letter written to an unidentified recipient, Reverend George Dobree (born 1831), Curate of Cockfield in Suffolk, England, says he is enclosing a contribution to assist with chapel debts. He also notes that there are many temptations in life and that he looks forward to heaven. By the end of the letter, Dobree has changed his mind and states that Alfred Hilder, grocer and draper, will send the order for the contribution.
