This series, arranged in alphabetical order by the surname of each decedent, served as a vehicle that aided the Watkins Land Mortgage Company in tracing the line of investors and their inheritors in the company. Many of the documents are those of English investors, and all fall within the years of 1879 to 1903.

These documents were forwarded to the Lawrence office to be kept as a reference should an investor die before seeing a return on his invested capital. Letters of testament and less significant documents merely naming a proposed executor or trustee are included with the wills.
