Scope and Contents
Friday noon, March 28, prior to the arrival of luncheon guests consisting of Caterpillar personnel from Peoria and Caterpillar dealers; Gary Shipps and Jack Zeller have lowered the flag at 12:30 P.M. to reset it for half-mast upon hearing that General Dwight Eisenhower had just passed away; All visitors on Friday and Saturday were greeted at the front door by a hard-working crew that parked their car and returned it to them at the Parts Warehouse dock on their departure; Skip Foley, Paul Foley and Jack McArthur arrive. The day was cloudy and cold but no rain; A group of Caterpillar and dealer people get in out of the cold; Harlan Fiegenbaum is apparently supervising the registration of guests; Winnie Head registers Ted Wolfarth, CAT, and Bill Hanes, former Kansas City dealer while "Gib" Gilbert greets Duane Swanson of Nebraska Machinery Company; Jerry Swanson of Nebraska Machinery signs in; Ollie Helderle of Caterpillar awaits turn for sign-in; Riley Drum greets Neal Balderson and Willard Balderson of Wamego.
