C.P. went with his wife's relatives to Heyworth for a funeral, a niece of his wife's died; there has been considerable sickness in his family over the fall; business has stagnated due to the election; he is glad there is to be a change, the Republican Party turned a deaf ear to prohibitionists though there has not been an issue since the cry of freedom of slaves that has merited the suffrage of the people as the cry of freedom from the venom of alcohol
