Scope and Contents
Clementine Martin was the head of the Topeka, Kansas chapter of Jack and Jill, Inc. (JJ), an organization formed during the Great Depression to provide programming for youth around areas including cultural awareness, educational development, health, civic, and social/recreational areas.
Clementine Martin's daughter, Eva Martin, was the executive director of the Coordinating Committee for the Black Community (CCBC). Additional CCBC papers are in the "Materials related to Eva Martin Blythe" sub-series at RH MS 1251.
