Scope and Contents
Addressed to "Mr granavil Sharp in England let this go with Care By the Beare"
Offers camwood, ivory, skins, etc; asks for trade-goods (listed). Complains that Governor William Dawes and surveyor [Richard] Pepys are mismanaging the resources, and-are employing the unfit instead of trained artisans who are left to starve without land. McPherson will not employ the blacksmith Armstrong who can write and cipher. They gave Ellit money to get natives to bring us under; the whites.
