Thanks for finding me a house for the winter on the Border -- I have much work to get done. I shall arrive in January; Mr Davison and the rent for the house in Spital. Thanks for the goose. I have left 2 vols for you at Baily's which can be picked up by "a steam-packet or clipper man.". Enclose a note just received from George Cruikshank.
