Addressed to "My dear Sir". Docketed "Letters to Dr Dunn [5 minims and a long minim] from private friends and others".Cannot answer your interesting communication fully, since must go to town. My daughter is dying, and I cannot think about the great events now in progress which have been the dream of my life.
This may be Dr Samuel Dunn, 1798-1882, a Methodist minister (see the Dictionary of National Biography); the "great events" may be the Catholic Emancipation.
