Folio 42 v, dated May 4: "Marched from the Bosshe to Maeselroy with the Breda Garrison." Folio 42-43, May 5-13: marched Myl, Boxmeer, Wansum, Baerloe, Maesyke, Reckem, Leise near Viret. Folio 43, dated May 13: "Encampt between the Dutch Army and the Meuse. The Duke from Maestricht in the Morning ... reviewed us" and May 17-June 6: "Went to Aix-le-Chappele & staid there till the 28th then we came with a french Pasport to Belgium 29 Tinsick 30 Coblentz 31 Castleann Je 1-4 Berncastle and came to Treves & the 6th joined the Army..." Folio 46-29 book author accompanies detachment under Orkney marching separately, July 21-July 2. Folio 47 blank. Folio 49, on July 2, rejoins Duke at Hannaff. Folio 51 provides account of battle dating July 17, and 52 describes action by 1st battalion of the First, July 20. Folio 53-54 provides account of attempt to cross the Dyle and opinions concerning the failure (dating July 29). Folio 59 is dated September 1, and 63 is October 1-6.
