Lawrence, discusses the Negro exodus out of the South and the designs of schemes to promote it, and conversely, to halt it. Mentions the use of a steamboat up the Mississippi to ferry African Americans out of the South following Reconstruction, and wants to know if Kansas has any jobs for these migrants. Mentions Mass.
