The Control Copies file serves as an index to the correspondents in the voluminous General Files. The white carbon copies of Pearson's responses to constituents are filed here. Unlike the General Files, the Control Copies file is typically arranged in two year groupings (e.g., 1973-1974, 1975-1976). In each two-year division the files are arranged alphabetically by the last name of the writer. There are very few 1962 letters in the 1962-63 file. The Senator's correspondence was handled out of his Prairie Village office for the majority of the 1962 year.
