Daily and Weekly Journals, 1967 - 1978
Scope and Contents
The daily journal briefly lists the Senate's daily schedule of pending business, committee meetings, and recorded the preceeding day's votes, as well as Pearson's vote. The weekly journal provides brief information on meetings of committees that Pearson served on, legislation Pearson introduced that week, and the subject of his floor remarks. It also provides the number of roll call votes that week and a running account of the Senator's cumulative voting percentage. Also included is a list of his appointments, engagements, and speeches and the subject of any newsletter, column, or statement that went out that week.
The weekly journal was discontinued after the 91st Congress. Both journals are grouped by the number of the Congress and the number of the session. They are in chronological order and begin with the 90th Congress, 1st session.
