Includes administrative and legal documentation, financial records, membership information, correspondence, promotional and informational material, and other related material documenting the history of the Security Benefit Life Insurance Company.
Notable material includes letters of support after the 1903 flood in Topeka, Kan.; correspondence regarding the bank moratorium of 1933 and regarding the construction of a hospital on Security Benefit's grounds in Topeka in 1923 (later purchased by the Menninger Foundation for its West Campus); and contract documentation from the merger of the Knights and Ladies of Security and National American Association from the 1910s-1920s.
