Letter register, 1864, 1870

 Series — Volume: 1
Call Number: RH MS B26

Scope and Contents

Letter register kept by Henry Isely, recording where letters were written or received, with whom correspondended, and the date, presumably while he was serving with the 67th Infantry Regiment of Ohio Volunteers Company C. The bulk of the register dates from 1864; Isely apparently went back to the volume in 1870 briefly to record more corrrespondence. Locations where Isely was when writing included Millersburg [Winesburg, Ohio?]; Petersburg, Virginia; St. Joseph, Missouri; Maryville, Missouri; and Paola, Kansas. The volume also includes some information about accounts and some of Isely's correspondents' addresses.
