Scope and Contents

Pre-1963 material concerns the dispute between the Oilfields Employers Association of certain oil companies engaged in oil prospecting, producing, or refining and the Oilfields Workers' Trade Union. 1957-1958 material concerns the K.V. Brown (Chairman) Commission appointed by the Governor General to investigate the case of increase in retail price of gasoline and the profitability to gasoline distributors and retailers therein.

1963-1964 material concerns the B. Mostofi (Chairman) Commission, appointed by the Governor General to investigate issues related to the petroleum industry in Trinidad and Tobago.

1965-1967 material concerns the C. A. Heller commission, appointed by the Governor General to investigate the agreements among the interested parties in petroleum products in Trinidad and Tobago, marketing, prices, and price differentials between those of urban areas and rural areas.
