Diaries [FRAGILE], 1878-1879 and 1880-[1898]

1878 diary's front cover is torn off and author is unknown (does not appear to be the same writer as the 1880 diary, owned by L. D. [Lewis DeWitt] Howard). In both cases the writers used the yearly diaries for longer than intended; the 1878-1879 diarist kept track of his financial accounting in the section provided for that.
