Scope and Contents

These two notebooks consist of copies and originals of newspaper clippings, photographs, correspondence, etc. regarding prominent Lawrence, Kansas families, Learnard family members, the Unitarian Church, the University of Kansas, general early history of Lawrence, and other miscellaneous subjects. The volumes were compiled by Tracy Learnard, the son of Oscar E. and Mary S. Learnard.

Original photographic prints have been removed from these volumes and are located at RH PH 553 (formerly at RH MS-P D116), described elsewhere in this finding aid. Photocopies of the prints have been put in the volumes where the prints were located.
