These folders consist of two numerical sequences of family correspondence. One contains photocopies of handwritten correspondence and the other typed transcripts of letters and postcards. The folders go back and forth between each sequence, following the pattern provided when the binders were received at Spencer Research Library. The typed materials do not always relate to the handwritten materials.

Material in folder 38 was found at the back of binder one but is photocopies of news articles about the family and the towns of Washington and Nevada City, rather than correspondence.
