The photographs include a series of portraits of Johnson, 70 photos of various size, 56 black and white, 14 color, that are predominately publicity shots of Johnson in professional garb, with some of Johnson in a leather outfit with a cigar. Also in this series are 23 color candid photographs of Johnson, amongst other photographic images.

When negatives came with the photographs or were obviously the same images, the negatives have been stored next to the photographs (even if the negatives do not match the photographs). Negatives not clearly belonging to any prints and that were found separately have been kept separate and are described later in this finding aid.
