These items include Frank and Ida Patterson's marriage certificate, genealogical reference material, travel documents for Carroll P. Hungate, and most notably Ida Patterson's retirement scrapbook, amongst other miscellenous items. The scrapbook is a guestbook for Mrs. Patterson's retirement as house mother of the Goffe House at the Kansas City Arts Institute in 1950, and includes several congratulatory notes and cards from former students. Mrs. Patterson or somebody else repurposed the last several pages of the guest book for photographs, newspaper clippings, and other items related to her two granddaughters' marriages in the early 1950s.
