Columns provided in the volumes include date of joining; name and birthplace; current address information; service information during the Civil War; and information about dues paid to the post. There is also a remarks column, which was often used to note when an individual's membership lapsed or was transferred to another post and camp, or when an individual passed away. The later volume also includes information about individuals who gave their lives in World War I.
