Malin corresponded frequently with friends, keeping the letters she received through the years from classmates and childhood friends, colleagues, traveling friends, co-workers, theater friends, students, former students, and others. The correspondence includes letters from close friends, invitations and "thank you" cards for graduation and wedding gifts, and notes from close colleagues and neighbors. Some of the letters, postcards, and greeting cards are written in French.

The correspondence is either grouped by sender or chronologically by year received. If searching for a particular sender, chronological correspondence should also be checked. The correspondence has been arranged chronologically by year in folders, but not necessarily by month or day. Many of the senders in this sub-series are also represented in the photographs series.
