Papers at RH MS 1445
Scope and Contents
The bulk of the manuscript materials in the addition to this collection are reflective diaries and letters Marcella (McCloud) Williams Buck and her husband Norman Buck kept in the 1980s, mostly related to "Marriage Encounter" weekends that they participated in. "Marriage Encounter" is a weekend getaway, started by Catholic priest Gabriel Calvo in the 1950s, to help married couples communicate with each other better and give those couples time away from their daily lives to focus on their marriage.
Other materials in this addition include funeral service and memorial programs; copies of legal documents relating to various Williams and McCloud family members; and some items separated from photographs related to the Eve (Williams) Spearman family.
