 Series

Scope and Contents

The papers of Jane Wofford Malin contain art and report cards from her elementary school days all the way through correspondence in retirement. She traveled frequently to Paris and other foreign destinations, for work and for leisure, keeping notes, diaries, postcards, drama and musical programs, and brochures from her travels. She also performed as a soloist mezzo soprano in recitals and elsewhere.

Included in these papers are items from Malin's time at the Oread Training School in 1938-1941. The school was a high school on the campus of the University of Kansas and was used to train teachers in the education department at KU.

Malin's papers also include her correspondence as a Professor of French at the University of Houston, Texas. Additionally, she volunteered for the Lawrence Community Theatre, retaining many of the programs from events and productions.
