Personal papers in this series include various birth and baptismal records of immediate family members, as well as family correspondence, memorabilia, and newspaper clippings. Some family estate papers are also included, as Anthony was the executor of the estates of his grandmother, Anna O. Anthony, and his parents, as well as an heir of the estate of his aunt, Maude Anthony Koehler.

The business papers contain correspondence and clippings regarding operations and history of the Leavenworth Times, its sale, and records of Anthony's professional memberships and journalistic honors. Included in his papers are signed letters from Kansas editor and author E. W. Howe, former Kansas Governor Alf Landon, and Kansas newspaper editor and author William Allen White.
