Leonard Hollmann had a deep interest in the history and documentation of Kansas photographers and the photography of Kansas, and the publishers of stereoviews related to Kansas subjects. His lists of the items he collected are very detailed. The lists are typed with an occasional added entry inscribed. However, the lists do not include every item represented in his collection. In addition, there are several entries on his lists that are not in the collection. It is possible that these were items that he had intended to collect, or perhaps he wanted to document their existence.

While processing the collection, a working copy of Hollmann's lists was used and there are some notes regarding items. The working copy is in the accession file and a clean copy is available here in the collection. A digital .pdf copy of the original list is available through reference staff at the Spencer Research Library.
