General
Concerns arrangements by the West Congregational Society to give up their old meeting-house and build a new one at a more convenient location. Discusses arrangements to reimburse existing pew holders. John Reed, Peter Walker, Benjamin Walker and James Walker have agreed to build the new meeting-house for the congregation's use free as long as Rev. Alvin [i.e. Alvan] Cobb is associated with the Society and providing the Society maintains the building in good repair. The site has yet to be chosen, but the congregation consists of people living in the vicinity of the John West Cotton Factory
