Two folders of research materials relating to Blue Mound, the first natural landmark on the Oregon and California Trails. The first folder includes Armitage's notes on the history of Mont Bleu ski area and the Oregon Trail-California Road in Douglas County; photographs of Oregon Trail markers at the former ski site; tour outlines; maps; and Armitage's notes on primary and secondary source readings. It also includes a timeline and notes by Armitage about the segregation of Lawrence schools. The second folder includes newspaper clippings.
