Scope and Contents
This series comprises materials relating to Chuck Berg's academic career, from his undergraduate degree at KU, to his PhD at the University of Iowa, to his time at Queens College-CUNY, through his professorship at KU.
Files include conference programs, paper proposals, and speaking notes; Berg's undergraduate and doctoral-level coursework and projects; awards including the Mortar Board Outstanding Educator Award and Kemper Fellowship for Teaching Excellence; materials relating to faculty committees in which Berg took part including the Academic Relations Committee and the KU Jazz Coalition; professional correspondence from CUNY and KU, including letters from students; documents relating to the development of the Film and Media Studies program at KU; and files on Berg's academic projects and events.
The bulk of the series comprises files compiled by Berg that contain yearly CV updates, biographies, and merit salary reports from 1979 to 2010.
