Scope and Contents

This series includes documents and objects relating to Chuck Berg's personal life, and in particular his performances as a jazz musician. The first few files in the series relate to Berg's son Nathan, also a jazz musician and academic, as well as to Berg's wife Beth and his father.

The majority of the series comprises files relating to Berg's musical career, including newspaper articles, concert programs, and correspondence relating to Berg's jazz performances and expertise. Also included are several files relating to Berg's involvement in the National Association of Jazz Educators (later known as the International Association of Jazz Educators).

At the end of the series are three plaques and two trophies awarded to Berg for his achievements in jazz and in education.
