General

Obliging William Clint, servant, and Anna Lockwood near Waping ould Staiers [Wapping Old Stairs], Widdow to pay £100 to The English Company Trading to the East-Indies if Clint fails in the following condition: Clint will serve as seaman from London to the East-Indies and back in the ship Tankervell under Capt. Charles Newnam for 30 shillings a month; will not ask for his wages until he returns to the Port of London; and will behave well. Clint has received impress beforehand in the sum of Three pounds. The bond is signed by William Clint and Anna Lockwood, written and witnessed by William Tirrey. The bond is docketed "Wm Clint sea Tank."

Item includes two octagonal seals applied through a turned-over tag, imprint illegible,two 6-penny stamps, embossed in center top.
