Official report in the form of a letter by Jonathan Duncan (1756-1811), Governor of Bombay, Bombay Castle to Sir Gilbert Elliott, Governor-General in Council at Fort William, Calcutta, Bengal, discussing the following subjects: 1) Should we switch some Maritime forces from China to India? and follow up our occupation of Arboyna by occupying the Molluccas? 2) Supracargoes proposition. 3) List of armed ships sent to China, etc (replacing Teignmouth and Antelope which are surveying); General Abercrombie [Sir John Abercromby, 1772-1817, took Mauritius 2 Dec 1810]. 4) Cannot help you very well because of ship difficulties. Seven pages (2 sheets), docketed, ". . .Gov. Duncan's 1. . .15th July 1810."
