Executed between Andrew Ramsay, of the first party; and William Thomas Sandiford, Lt. in East India Co (Bombay establishment) and Mary (Ramsay) Sandiford, his wife and Ramsay's daughter, of the second party; and Peter Nathan Roberts, senior merchant in Company's Civil service (Bombay establishment), and James Tate of Bombay, merchant, and Minguel de Lima e Souza of Bombay, merchant. [The Trustees.], of the third party.
Whereas a marriage has taken place, Ramsay, through parental affection "and in order to advance her and her Husband in the World" is
Establishing a trust of 40,000 rupees in the Company's Treasury Bonds (in Bombay) the income of which is to support Mary, William, and any children. If Mary and William go to live in England or in British Dominions in Europe, the Trustees may sell the bonds and invest in the Publick Funds or Government Securities of England. If they wish to "settle in the World" any child, part of the Principal may be used. The Principal reverts to Ramsay if Mary and William die childless.
